Privacy Breach!

Privacy when chatting to moderators is paramount especially when chatting via private message, these conversations should be kept PRIVATE and CONFIDENTIAL at all times
Traf you broke this privacy, as a moderator this is not only in breach of the rules its unacceptable and down right deplorable behaviour..

You had no right to share the content of that conversation, it was private and confidential, you had no permission to do so.
The content of the conversation didn't warrant any investigation or fact finding to happen, but YOU decided to go further and not only inform the player but to hand over screenies, of the private confidential conversation and then approve the use of it on the forum (you can't state your just a player and not a moderator in this situation as YOU approved this content for the forum, and supplied it to boot).

Understand if Devs posted this they would be liable for possible legal action!
You are also held to these standards at all times, and as such need to be demoted.

As you have stated in the post (bet you'll delete it now) YOU gave permission for it to be posted, this constitutes a clear breach of the rules of conduct. i.e

1. 'revealing personal information about other people without their consent'
2. 'posting content or promoting activities that could be considered confidential, infringing, harmful, obscene, hateful, threatening, racist, explicit violence, pornographic or otherwise illegal'

Due to the major breach you (Traf) have done here, in regards to these rules, you approved it whether knowing it was a breach or not is irrelevant and as such i ask moderators look at it, and make a decision on your moderator status!

This is a clear breach of privacy!

You shouldn't be a Mod!

This needs to be done immediately, its very clear you have no respect for the rules, you clearly have done a major breach from a position of power.

Don't sweep it under the rug moderators, do what needs to be done!

Val, not to throw gas on the fire, but everyone here knows that if someone were to tell you something via PM that was the least bit useful to you, we'd find screenie plastered all over the forum and global, regardless of if the person asked you to keep it secret.

Also, a sociology concept, NEMESIS members are taught to hate Depraved and anyone who stands against them.

Nah...we have derp-lovers in Nemesis...they raise my radar but people are absolutely free to disagree with me on things...Ive never had someone kicked for anything other than bad behavior twoards others.

The top few teach the rest how and what to feel about certain things. These are akin to religions/cults, and McPwny stating that he wasn't ok with having Swoles alt in the clan shows that.

If you are a psych major, take a look at that statement. McPwny is free to disagree with the 'religion/cult' and not get kicked. We arent telling him how and what to feel.

People that enjoy this drama cause problems...especially when they are mods. The point of a mod is to keep things in line, not to blow it apart.

I find it incredibly amusing that moderators here are especially good at doing one thing: Trying to sound convincing or wise, but the wisdom is actually missing. I feel like some of you feel elevated due to what you are, hence your automatic conclusion to everything that players say against your statement is that what we say is wrong, nonsense or similar, though, this is present in so many moderated locations. The true and only moderator is the one who stays transparent, fair, unbiased and who can always be corrected in case they are just wrong. The bad moderator is the one who fights for their rank and doesn't want to accept the criticism that is given to them.

I as a non-moderator without kicking and banning powers or fancy colors in my name have been able to stop more arguments and fights than you like to imagine. Not just in this game but across many other platforms. That our moderator team here has issues shouldn't be a surprise anymore. Or a secret.

Bella... dear, dear Bella... This is why the moderator account should be separated from the main account. Simply to nullify these assumptions. But that you don't think of that yourself... Ehh... :| Truth be told, all I can really say is that moderation varies among the different games and platforms, but I prefer the type with order and - well - trustworthy moderators where I can be sure to be in safe hands. The reputation that some of you people have lost won't be regained easily, if at all.

That is one solution, the main reason for not having it this way is that we can react faster not needing to relog or change accounts to take action.

And in all honesty, if I would have separate accounts one for mod and one for a player most players would still see me as a mod when I would be on my non mod account and either ask me to help them with something and or to report something to me.

I would like to ask a question to you or anyone else here: What is that any moderator has done to you or anyone else that makes you think that that moderator will betray you or not help you? And I would like to have something tangible as a reply.

Well, Bellatrix, to answer your question more or less friendly, to me personally no mod has been rude or distrustful. Probably because I barely play. But back in the day and even till today there were some cases where a moderator has done something, didn't admit to it and left the community with scars. Just to dig up a case that I have semi-experienced myself because I was semi-affected by it, TheScythe - When they were a fresh moderator - was banning a player I was playing with after they have provoked them for pretty much over 20 minutes while I was helping them. It was back in 2016 I think or even 2015, can't remember the exact year but that's beside the point. I have never talked about this one case because walking around certain moderators is like walking on a field of glass... You cut your feet if you both stay at the same place or move.

I think there has also been a case between TheScythe and GuestNINJAS but I don't know where this case went. So I cannot tell for certain whether this was a thing or not. However, cases like those leave scars. Scars that won't heal and will continue to bug players. And I'm personally not happy with the moderation here anyways because it is so... I'm not sure if this is the right word for that, but the moderation here tends to be slim. Lightly-taken... or so.

I would like to ask a question to you or anyone else here: What is that any moderator has done to you or anyone else that makes you think that that moderator will betray you or not help you?

Now Im starting to question YOUR competency...as this whole thread stemmed from one such betrayal. Traf screenshot, leaked, and finally consented to having it posted a private conversation with Val. Not one where val did something wrong, but where val was reacting to a hostile player infiltrating Nemesis.
The original sin in this scenario is that of Booger lying about who he was and trying to infiltrate Nemesis. Traf then committed the sin of sharing said conversation with booger (again, its ok to share things if the person being 'squelched' on is doing something harmful). So for like the fifth time in this thread: traf was either played like a fool by booger; or traf himself is an integral part of this betrayal.

ETA: Plus these examples viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10111&p=51170&hilit=+regius#p51170 and tons of others...mods have been abusing and betraying this game and its players since i started. The recent crop of mods is better, but dont act like the last several years didnt happen

Maybe I missed it, but did any of the events behind this thread lead to bans or other moderation action against anyone? Because if not then all these arguments are about something else. This sort of shady spying crap is deplorable in my opinion, but if it's not related to moderation actions then treat it the same as any other player being grimey.

Thats the "Mod Traf is not related at all to player Traf" argument. Wether its 'on the clock' or not it doesnt matter...there's a higher standard for mods.

Locking this thread. What's said is said, I suppose. Leaving it open will just perpetuate what's becoming a circular dialogue.
