Suggestions for features or improvements

I have a few suggestions, one of which should be easy to implement and the others likely less so. The easy one is simple; have a way to chat on EVERY screen, so, for example, you can chat while going through your artifacts, or while watching the map, or, most annoyingly, while dead from something that got you while you were chatting.
The second is to make the flux cost to finish a planet exploration go down gradually as the percentage of completion rises, to make it worth it to knock the last hour off a long exploration instead of just finishing it immediately.
The third, which is less of a convenience issue, is a new weapon, an explosive equivalent of the gatling gun. I'm not sure the best way to implement something like that, but a way to balance rapid-fire missiles would be to have them not seek, and do less damage per shot, but get more shots per full power bar than normal missiles, for example 25% faster rate of fire but proportionally less damage and no seeking, with a bit of shot spread.
