i want a new ship and i'd like to get sailfish, but i fear that it might be a waste. For only 200-250 more flux i can get skeletor or neutron x , that have %atk bonus instead of flat, is this better or not? I guess the sailfish weapon is fast-firing, so it is better on a fast firing weapon than a % bonus?

i mean, sailfish only has +corr. and + kin.flat, and some atk speed, skeleotor has much more flat, % dmg and neutron x has flat, % of kin and corr and also movement, plus a grat weapon, but maybe the flat bonus of sailfish works extremely well with its weapon? to me 600 flux doesnt seem a great deal, 400 flux would be more appropriate, or it's more powerful than it seems?

I'd say wait on it, the only reason to get it is really for it's weapon, can't say anything about the ones Supreme suggested cause I've not tested them out properly, however I would suggest getting skeletor for a great weapon of you are capable of learning to avoid damage it can easily last you pretty far into late game, and if you find that you like to survive longer Eagle Eye is a very solid choice, while it's damage isn't the best, it's shield regen will let you take damage and get back in there without touching a safezone much faster, which I found as a major plus when I was that level, I could mess up many times before dying because of it.

Well Supreme he said he wants a new ship and the way I read it he would like to get it sooner than later, and my suggestion Eagle is 1000 flux wheras prophecy and medic are 1500 and 2000 flux respectively. Yes my first suggestion would be to save your flux and go straight to something like Blade and then think about getting others, however it sounded to me like they don't want to wait to long so I suggested the 2 ships that are cheap, mid to early late, game ships.

That being said I'll add this to my comments, I would highly recommend sticking it out with whatever starter ship you have until you can get something like Blade (which is probably the best PvE ship right now) which will help you farm flux to get other ships, or hope to get a better ship from pods and use that, also when buying, look for the weekend sales, it's 30% off for the three ships offered that week.

TheSupreme wrote:Medic and Prophecy are both great and will last even in end game.

Medic is the easiest ship to use because of the attack speed bonus.

The two I listed aren't hard to get at all.. less than 3 days of farming I'm guessing.. Don't suggest something to him that he will only regret later. :x

I dont see anyone using Prophecy as end game ship. Month ago i saw one leve 34 using it. In less than 3 days you can get 2 brand new strater ships as low level if lucky.

Oh come on, EE was a great ship during the three years I used it. Even took down admiral zhersis with it. I still recommend EE as a good starter ship, since it's high regen (for a rather low price) will allow a newbie to learn the game faster. Besides, with 6, 6, 5, and 10 in the health, armor, shield, and regen slots respectively, I don't think you can get a more balanced ship for so cheap. You can play with the ship a lot, figure out what you like, and then specialize later when you have flux. After all, I'd rather have a "jack of all trades" ship as a starter, especially if my ship won't let me die :D

I can't imagine using the prophecy for 3 years . . . And it doesn't even look cool :)

Well, the weapon is quite good, at lvl 6 with lvl 30ish elite techs (RoF) I managed to kill the fanatic tank, but again, its your opinion. The ship stats itself are very average.

I'm pretty sure you can copy the piraya, right? But, in my opinion, I don't think it's really worth it. To me, the ONLY good thing about it is it's wep.
