Welcome to the AstroFlux forums! This forum is here to provide you with a friendly environment where you can discuss all aspects of AstroFlux with your fellow players.

Community forums work best when participants treat their fellow posters with respect and courtesy, so we ask that you take the time to read through the forum guidelines before posting.

Important Reminders:

  • Search
There is a search function at the top of the Forum. Before you create a new forum topic, please search for similar topics that may contain the answer for which you are looking. Making a new thread on an existing subject can result in your thread being deleted or, if you continue to re-post the same content, the loss of your forum privileges for spamming.

Have fun posting on these forums, and good luck with your adventures!

Unless otherwise stated, these guidelines apply to all forum topics. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in punishment. Consistent breaking of these guidelines will result in thread deletions or extended bans. If something that happens is not covered by the guidelines, the moderators are free to use their discretion. So please use common sense.

  1. No obscenity
People of all ages are on the forum and any content not appropriate for children will be dealt with strictly.

  2. Keep on-topic
Try to keep to the topic being discussed. Don't use threads to chat between each other where a PM would be more appropriate. By all means comment on each other's photos, but don't let it turn into a two-person chat session. Comments that don't add anything useful may be deleted. Threads in the 'Off topic' category will obviously be given a lot more leeway.

  3. Post in the correct section
Please don't post a bug report in Suggestions or that you are looking for a clan in Off Topic. You increase the chance of a reply if you post in the correct section.

  4. Use meaningful subject lines
Help member know what a thread contains by describing it well in the subject. If you're posting a question, don't use "Question", describe your question in a few words. If you're posting a bug, describe your problem, don't vent your anger with an "aarrggh!".

  5. Don't post in all capital letters, excessive punctuation, and/or non-standard symbols, etc
While everyone wants their posts read, we ask you to refrain from using these types of tactics in order to bring more people to your thread. Let your post stand on its own merit.

  6. Don't troll
This includes comments that are intended to anger another, shock comments, and personal attack comments. Also, please do not feed the trolls. If you notice someone is trolling, don't respond to them.

  7. Naming and shaming constitutes harassment
This includes accusing named or otherwise identified individuals, clans, etc. of dishonourable behaviour, such as cheating or any kill on sight (KOS) lists. If you believe someone is cheating, private message a mod with your evidence. While such topics may sometimes be warranted, allowing targeting of others in such a fashion is open to abuse and thus not allowed. You may present your point of view while preserving the anonymity of those involved, and let the reader decide whether to contact you for details.

  8. Post in English, and English only
Moderators need to be able to read everything you write to make sure it's not unsuitable for the forums. If we can't, we have to assume the worst and consider the post a breach of the forum guidelines.

  9. Don't correct people's spelling / grammar
Some members don't speak English as a first language, and this isn't English class. It just isn't helpful to the community.

  10. Don't 'bump' threads
Don't post a meaningless comment just to send a thread to the top. The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called "necro bumping" or "necroing"). The necro-bump thread is excluded from this rule.

  11. Keep your signature short
Long signatures give people more to scroll though and take up more space on the page. Please don't use blinky or annoying images in your avatar or signature. "But what makes an image annoying?" Don't try to find out. Just stay as far away from the hidden line as you can.

  12. Don't try to make "official" threads
If one is required, ask a mod to post it. "Official" threads are the ones that say "post all ___ here!". Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject.

  13. Don't post huge images
Post a link to your huge image instead.

  14. No Advertising
I realize the spam bots won't read this, but I might as well add it just in case.

  15. Do not post about locked or deleted threads
Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. Please learn from your mistake, and attempt to post again without breaking any rules.

If you have questions or concerns about the guidelines, feel free to send PM a to a Moderator! Like Magnus always says, have funsies!
